How does SmartBot support prerequisite bookings?

If you have services that require guests to take mandatory consultations or pre-appointments before booking, these are known as prerequisite services within Zenoti.

Depending on your prerequisite settings in Zenoti, when a guest requests to book an appointment that requires a mandatory pre-appointment, SmartBot will either offer this service instead, or redirect the guest to the webstore to book the services together.


How does this feature work?

SmartBot will adhere to how you have set up your Allow Prerequisites to be Booked with the Service setting in Zenoti.

If the Allow Prerequisites to be Booked with the Service checkbox is checked, SmartBot will offer the prerequisite service instead of the main service requested.

If the checkbox is unchecked, SmartBot will redirect guests to your webstore and inform them that they need to book both appointments together.

Note: If, when offered, the guest doesn't want to book the prerequisite service instead, SmartBot will redirect them to the webstore to continue with booking.
