Sending messages on ezConnect
This article explains how you can send and receive messages from your guests and switch between SMS and WhatsApp.
Send Messages to Guests
3. Select the guest from the search results.
The guest’s conversation appears.
4. In the text box, enter the message that you want to send to your guest.
5. Click Send.
The message is sent to your guest.
View Guest’s Messages
Whenever a guest sends a message to you, the message is marked as unread by ezConnect till you open the conversation and read the message.
An unread message is marked by a blue dot.
ezConnect also displays when the message was received and through which channel.
The image below denotes the icons for SMS and WhatsApp channels:
To respond to the guest, click the unread message and in the reply pane, enter your reply.
Switch between SMS and WhatsApp channels
Sometimes it may be convenient to send a message to a guest in WhatsApp rather than SMS or vice versa. ezConnect allows you to switch between both the channels easily.
Launch ezConnect.
From the search bar, search for the guest to whom you want to send a message.
3. Select the guest from the search results.
The guest’s conversation appears.
4. In the text box, enter the message that you want to send to your guest.
5. From the Messaging Channel drop-down, select the appropriate channel.
6. Click Send.
The message is sent to your guest on the preferred channel.
Note: To send messages via WhatsApp, you must enable WhatsApp as a messaging channel for your organization.
Note: Sending messages via SMS requires your organization to have sufficient SMS credits.
