How to Optimize the Listings?

First, you will want to have a Google My Business listing claimed by you.

Then, you can log into the ezRepute profile to complete your profile and add as much information as possible for your locations. The data that the Listings tool will use to complete your profiles on the business listings sites is all within the Profile section. Most important is the business name, address, phone number, and website.

To update your business information, click on the 'Settings' tab on the left navigation rail of your ezRepute dashboard. Now, you can update your business information under the 'Profile' tab.


BUSINESS INFORMATION

This section allows you to update your business name, address, Google map location, service areas, phone number, official email address, and website.

Here is how your business information is shared across your listings:

Business information

Google My Business

Address, Map Marker, Main phone number, Email, Website

Facebook

Name, Address, Hide address in listings, Main phone number, Website

Bing

Name, Address, Hide address in listings, Provide service areas, Main phone number, Email, Website

Other listings

As a business owner, you must comply with a specific set of guidelines to prevent your business listings from suspension and represent your business information accurately.

To avoid common problems while changing important information on your account or removing business information from online directories, follow the guidelines below:

  • Make sure that you represent your business on online directories the way it is consistently represented and recognized in the real world across signage, website, storefront, and other branding.

  • The address and/or service area on the business listings should be accurate and precise.

  • While choosing the categories to describe your overall business, make sure that you choose the fewest number of categories that best describe your business.

  • There should be only one profile for every business to prevent problems with the display of information on maps and search engine results.


HANDY TIPS

  1. Make sure that your service areas are explicitly mentioned under ‘Address’

  1. Your location should clearly appear on Google Maps. If there is an error in the ZIP code or any other information, the marker may appear inaccurately on Google Maps.

  1. Do not use unnecessary capitalization or special characters in the name


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION



This section allows you to add more information about your business. You will be able to update the year of establishment, time zone, language, payment details, working hours, business status, and more. NOTE: A part of this information such as ‘Business hours’ and ‘Status’ will also appear on your Google My Business listing.

Here are different fields you can update on your business profile:

Year established

This shows the year of your business establishment. It will not be shared on Google, Facebook or Bing but on other listings only.

Time zone

It shows the time zone of your business location. This information will not be shared on any listing.

Languages

It allows you to add the languages your business is comfortable with. This information will be shared on a few other listings only.

Business Hours

You can update your regular and special business hours. Regular hours will be shared across all the listings and special hours will be shared on GMB and Bing only.

Business Status

It shows the current status of your business. You can update whether your business is open or permanently closed. This information will be shared on all the listings except a few other listings. NOTE: In case your business is temporarily closed, you will be able to select the reopen date.

Services

You can update the services you offer in your business location. Make sure that the services you add here are clear and precise. This information will be shared on Facebook and a few other listings.

Keywords

This field helps you update the relevant keywords for your business. Your customers can find your business using these keywords. This information will be shared on a few other listings only.

Products

This field allows you to mention the products you offer in your business category. This information will be shared on a few other listings only.

Appointment link

This field allows you to update the URL used for booking an appointment with your business. This link will appear on your Google My Business listing as well. This information will be shared on GMB listings only.

Reservation link

This field allows you to update the URL used for reserving a table at your restaurant or book a room at your hotel. This link will appear on your Google My Business listing as well. This information will be shared on GMB listings and a few other listings only.

Menu link

This field allows you to update the link to the menu you serve. This link will appear on your Google My Business listing as well. This information will be shared on GMB listings, Bing and a few other listings only.

Order ahead link

This field allows you to update the link to the page that allows your customers to place delivery or pick-up orders. This link will appear on your Google My Business listing as well. This information will be shared on GMB listings and a few other listings only.

Payment Options

This field allows you to show the payment modes you accept. This information will be shared on GMB listings, Facebook and other listings.

Impressum

This field allows you to update a statement of ownership to abide by the law in certain countries such as Austria, Germany and Switzerland. This information will be shared on Facebook and a few other listings only.

Additional contact information

This field allows you to add more contact numbers including a local and a toll-free number. This feature is supported on GMB listings and a few other listings only.

Apps

If your business offers an app, these links will redirect your customers to the app download page. This information will be shared on a few listings only.


COVID-19 UPDATES

This section allows you to post your business updates pertaining to the Covid-19 pandemic on your GMB listing. To post an update, click on the ‘Pencil’ icon. This information will be shared on GMB listings only. Post description will be shared on Facebook as well.

IMPORTANT: Frequent updates may lead to listing suspension. All the updates are reviewed and published on the GMB listing. So, make sure that you do not post unnecessary information on your GMB listing.

Then enter the post description, Covid-19 page link, and the virtual assistance/care page link.

This post will now appear on your GMB listing.

NOTE: Every time you post an update, it will appear as a new update on your GMB listing.


MEDIA

This section allows you to update the profile photo, cover photo, and other photo and videos gallery. To update the images, follow the below guidelines:

GOOGLE MY BUSINESS LISTING

This section allows you to showcase important business information including ‘Google team photo’, ‘Google description’, and more on your Google My Business listing. Here are the important fields you can showcase on Google:

Google team photo

This field allows you to update your team photo on Google in JPG, JPEG or PNG format. NOTE: Make sure that the minimum image resolution is 250x250 px and size should range from 10KB to 5MB

Store ID

This is the Google store ID to be displayed on your GMB listing.

Google description

This field allows you to update a description within 750 characters, on your Google My Business listing.

Google categories

This section allows you to choose a primary category and multiple additional categories your business is into. You can also add the URL to a different website you wish to redirect the customers on the ‘Google Website Override’ field.

Google attributes

Google attributes can help a business rank higher in search results when their target customers search for businesses in specific categories. You will have the ability to configure your business highlights, accessibility, crowd type, dining options and more based on your business.

The attributes push your GMB listing to the top of search results when your customers search for businesses in the category.



FACEBOOK LISTING

This section allows you to select a business category and description you want to show on Facebook.

BING LISTING

This section allows you to select a business category and description you want to exhibit on Bing. You will be able to select one primary and multiple other categories to represent your business.

EZREPUTE LISTING

This section allows you to customize the appearance of your ezRepute listing.

OTHER THIRD-PARTY LISTINGS

This section allows you to select a primary and other category needed to fix the third-party listings through Yext and Synup. The information added in this section will appear on the third-party listings.

SOCIAL PROFILE LINKS

This section allows you to add your social profile URLs to your ezRepute review profile. You will be able to add your profile URLs from Google, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and more.

INTERNAL USE

The information entered in this section is for internal use only. It will not be shared on any public profile. You can enter a nickname for the listing and link your GMB, Facebook, and Twitter profile pages.
