How to set up Facebook Messenger on ezConnect

Learn how to see guest conversations started on Facebook instantly through ezConnect.

Follow these simple steps to connect your Facebook Page to a center in ezConnect in less than a minute.

Note: Before starting the setup process, ensure you have been assigned the Admin or Editor role for the center Page you wish to link with ezConnect. Learn more about Facebook Page roles here.

SETUP GUIDE

  1. To begin setup, open ezConnect Settings and under General Settings, you will see a Facebook Messenger section.

    Click Sign in with Facebook where you will be asked to log in using your Facebook credentials.


2. Once you successfully log into your account, click Continue to proceed to the next step of setup.

Alternatively, if you are already signed into a Facebook account from your browser, click Continue as <Your Account Name> to proceed.


3. You will now see the list of Pages you have access to as an Admin/Editor. Select the Page(s) you want to connect to ezConnect and once selected, click Next to continue with setup.


4. At this stage, you will be prompted to give permission to the ezConnect App to Manage & Access Page conversations. Click Done to proceed.

Note: All the permissions will be toggled to 'Yes' by default and while not all are mandatory, they are recommended for a successful set-up.

5. You should now see a prompt informing you that the Page is successfully linked to ezConnect. Click OK to finish setting up.


6. On clicking OK, you will be redirected to the ezConnect Settings page. Here you can select which Facebook Page you want to connect to a particular center.

As shown in the example below, if you have access to multiple Pages, select the Page you want to connect to ezConnect from the dropdown menu and click Save to confirm.

Note: We cannot import any previous conversations with guests conversations into ezConnect as per Facebook’s Page Privacy Policy. All new conversations initiated by guests will be available inside ezConnect, as well as your Page.


Now that setup is complete, conversations from the Messenger channel will be visible on the ezConnect Reply section.

When a guest starts a conversation with your Facebook Page, you will see the new conversations appear with the Messenger icon displayed.


CHANGING CENTERS


Once configured, you will see a Reconfigure button which can be used if you need to change the Page you mapped to a different location.


Note: When you reconfigure, all the previous guest conversations made from the old page will appear as Facebook User (4-digit number), as per Facebook’s Page Privacy Policy.

How to send messages on Facebook messenger using ezConnect?

REMOVING ACCESS

You can revoke access to the ezConnect App at any time from the Business integrations section of the Facebook Page Settings.
