Learn how you can configure browser notifications to allow ezConnect to notify you of guest messages

Before you enable the Notifications setting of ezConnect, you must configure your browser to display desktop notifications.

This will allow ezConnect to seamlessly display the notifications of guest messages through your browser.

Browser Check

ezConnect currently supports the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome (version 64 and above)

  • Mozilla Firefox (version 60 and above)

  • Microsoft Edge (version 42 and above)

  • Safari (version 12 and above)

This article contains steps for enabling desktop notifications for the above-mentioned browsers.

Google Chrome

1. Open Google Chrome.

2. On the top-right side, click the vertical ellipsis (three dots).

3. Click Settings.

The Settings page appears.

4. Scroll down and from the Privacy and Security section, click Site Settings.

The Site Settings page opens.

5. From the Permissions section click Notifications.

6. Turn ON the Sites can ask to send notifications setting.

7. Under the Allow section click Add and enter your Zenoti URL. For example, if
your Zenoti URL is spabliss.zenoti.com, enter the same in this field.

8. Click Add.

You have successfully configured the browser notifications for Google Chrome.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Open Mozilla Firefox.

2. On the top-right corner, click the menu button (denoted by 3 horizontal lines).

3. Select Options.

4. Under the settings menu, select Privacy and Security.

5. For Notifications, click Settings.

6. Enter your Zenoti URL. For example, if your Zenoti URL is spabliss. Zenoti.
com, enter the same in this field.

7. From the Status drop-down menu, select Allow.

8. Click Save Changes.

You have successfully configured the browser notifications for Mozilla Firefox.

Microsoft Edge

1. Open Microsoft Edge.

2. On the top-right corner, click the elipsis (denoted by 3 dots).

The browser menu appears.

3. Click Settings.

4. From the side menu, select Cookies and Site Permissions.

The Cookies and Site Permissions page appears.

5. Select Notifications

6. For the Allow section, click Add.

7. Enter your Zenoti URL. For example, if your Zenoti URL is spabliss. Zenoti.
com, enter the same in this field.

8. Click Add.

You have successfully configured the browser notifications for Microsoft Edge.

Safari

1. Open Safari

2. Navigate to Safari > Preferences > Notifications

The Notifications window opens and displays a list of websites that have asked
for notification permission.

3. For Zenoti, click Allow.
This will allow notifications from Zenoti.

4. In the Preferences, click Auto-Play.

The Auto-Play section opens.

5. For Zenoti select Allow All Auto-Play from the dropdown.

This will play all the notifications received from Zenoti.

Windows Settings

Ensure you configure the following settings on you Windows PC:

  • Turn OFF Focus Assist: Focus Assist allows you to enable or disable notifications for certain apps and lets you focus on the apps that you want to. Zenoti recommends you to turn OFF the Focus Assist, so that all the notifications are visible.

  1. Search for Focus Assist on the windows search bar (besides the Start Windows icon)

  2. From the search results, select Focus Assist (with the half moon icon).
    The Settings window opens.

  3. From the Focus Assist section, select the Off button.

  • Notifications: Enable notifications for the browsers that you use for ezConnect.

  1. Type Settings in the search bar.
    The Windows Settings home page appears.

  2. Select System > Notifications and Actions.

  3. Scroll down and turn ON the notifications for all the browsers that you use for ezConnect and Zenoti.
