Before your business begins communicating with your guests on WhatsApp, it is mandatory that you receive their consent for the same. This ensures that businesses use WhatsApp as mode to communicate meaningful and useful information, rather than spamming them with unnecessary marketing messages.

In alignment with this regulation, Zenoti allows you to use a macro to collect the WhatsApp consent from your guests. This macro can be used in email campaigns, SMS campaigns, appointment confirmation notifications, appointment reminder notifications, and thank you notifications.

Prerequisites

Ensure your templates (email, SMS, or notifications), meet the following criteria:

  • Clearly state that the guest is opting in to receive messages from your business on WhatsApp

  • Clearly state your business name that a guest is opting-in to receive messages from

  • Comply with applicable local laws for consumer messaging
